Whether you have oily skin, normal or dry, winters are skin spoiler. Both skin and body suffer from sudden changes of temperature.
Many times our face and hands go red and dry in winter, and also, the body and the skin do not look quite right. A less bright and pale shade; a definite mood spoiler. Instead, locking down yourself in a room with a room heater, it is better to have some home based treatments. Here’s what you can do for your skin and your body this winter.
Avocado
Avocado is great for all skin types, especially for the dehydrated. Do you skin a favor; once every two weeks, give yourself an avocado clean. You need to blend that until you get a smooth paste and apply it on skin for perfect cleansing.

Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then remove it with warm water. Once done, wait for another half an hour and then give yourself a toner and a moisturizer at night.
Berries
Yes, I know berries are not easily available in the market, especially the fresh ones. But, those from the supermarket, frozen, are equally good for both your diet and for skin.
When you shop, stop yourself for a cup of berries. Mix them with a little fat yogurt and apply them on the face and neck. You will have a natural glow! Don’t forget to leave your face with the paste for at least 5-10 minutes.
Pumpkin
If you have very oily skin or acne, pumpkin pulp mixed with egg white and a little lemon juice (a teaspoon) is the miraculous mixture for you.

Apply this paste on your face for 5 minutes and then, rinse with warm water. Unlike avocado, you don’t need to wait longer here, but you need to immediately apply a moisturizer for oily skin.
Banana and Honey
Mix in a large bowl bananas 4-5, 4-5 tablespoons honey, 3 egg yolks and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. You can apply the resulting paste on the face, body and hair, and the results will be spectacular! Do this weekly experiment.
Milk, Sugar, Honey and Coffee Grounds
You need a cup of fat milk, 5-6 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey and coffee grounds. You need to prepare a mixture of these. The paste is an excellent mask for the body, reducing cellulite, dehydration, and dead skin cells.
Milk, Cream, Honey
If you have extremely dry skin, make a mixture of 1/2 cup fat milk, 2 tablespoons of sour cream and two tablespoons of honey. Apply this paste on skin and leave it to act at least 10 minutes. Then, give a good wash and see the results.

If you’re not a fan of these homemade face masks, then here is how you enhance the effect of your cosmetic products. Take a shower with warm water, not hot. Apply a moisturizing shower gel, as much as possible made from plants (more expensive, but worth it!).
Also, use a shampoo that suits your hair type and, then a conditioner. Rinse the shampoo with warm water. Then, apply the conditioner without rinsing the hair.
