Summers are already there. Though the heat is not letting us go out, locking oneself behind the door is also not a feasible solution. And, you can see a sudden rise in the sales of summer protection goods.
For the protection of eyes, many people buy cheap sunglasses. But, what they don’t know is that the retina of the human eye is very sensitive to UV radiation and temperature changes. So, we need quality shades that can protect our eyes from the harm done by dangerous UV rays. In this context, today, I am going to review RB3025 Large Metal 004/78 (RayBan Aviator Polarized) sunglasses.
I am a fan of RayBan collections. They always amaze me with their products. And, today I would like to talk about my latest RayBan addition – RB3025 Large Metal 004/78 (RayBan Aviator Polarized). There are many color options available, but mine are silver crystal white/gradient blue.

Let us start with its packing
In a RayBan package, you will be getting sunglasses, a soft cleaning cloth, a booklet, and a manufacturer’s note (I have lost booklet and manufacturer’s note). After unboxing it, I went through all of the items. This is a must because by having a closer look at each item, you can spot whether your RayBan sunglasses are real or fake? I will be giving you some tips on this.
What I really liked about RB3025 Large Metal 004/78 (RayBan Aviator Polarized)
To start with, these are really decent sunglasses, especially in terms of finishing. My first impression about these sunglasses was – extremely light weight. These are awesomely designed, in perfect shape, with perfect nose pad locations. The cleaning cloth is also made of a luxurious fabric with red RayBan branding on it.
Now, I would like to talk about my wearing experience. I hope you all know what polarization of sunglasses means? A polarized sunglasses not only transform the visuals for a better view, but also protect your eyes from the harm done to your eyes by UV rays.
Polarization works more likely a shield between your eyes and direct sunlight that affect the retina of your eyes (as I stated in the beginning).
If you are going out for a ride in the bright sunny day, I must say, RayBan Aviator Polarized can help you a lot. The glasses are pragmatically tinted for the purpose.
You will witness a change in the shade of your sunglasses according to the amount of its exposure to sunlight.
In addition, as I mentioned earlier, aviator sunglasses are made of the finest quality material and impressively light in weight. So, there remains no question of any dreaded nose marks or wounds.
I give full marks to its finishing.
Things I Disliked In RB3025 Large Metal 004/78 (RayBan Aviator Polarized)
No doubt, polarized sunglasses are made for giving you a better vision in strong sunlight. But, polarized sunglasses are not good for every occasion.
I experienced some trouble when I used it, while driving a two-wheeler with my helmet’s windshield on (most are made of polycarbonate material). I experienced a drastic color shift. And, at some places, I was unable to see things clearly.
Second dislike is my reading experience with these glasses. I must say, with polarized glasses on, it is practically impossible to read from some angles, especially, if you are reading an ebook, checking your mobile, desktop or laptop.
Being a regular traveler and book lover, I do like to read eBooks on my iPad. But, with these polarized glasses on, sometimes, with a change in lighting condition, it becomes impossible for me to read anything.

Third dislike is its price. These polarized glasses are very expensive. Keeping in mind that they are best only for sunny days and bright weather conditions, I don’t think, spending more than 11K on it is worth.
How to check whether your sunglasses are polarized or not?
Take your sunglasses in your hand and try to see your TV screen through its lenses. While doing so, keep rotating your sunglasses. At one point, you won’t be able to see anything; completely black. This is a very simple test.
How can you spot a fake RB3025 Large Metal 004/78 (RayBan Aviator Polarized)
Regardless of the model, spotting a fake RayBan is very easy. Here, I am going to tell you a few very easy ways of doing so.
Watch out for the packing. If you are holding a genuine pack, you will be able to open it from one side only. The bottom side of the packaging will have all the bar codes and product information and without flaps that open.
Look at the quality cuts made. In a genuine pack, cuts are made more professionally. And, in the fake ones’ you are going to see childish cuts.
Be it a fake package or original one, on the bottom, you will find product codes and bar codes. Try checking those codes on the internet; if they are real, you will able to see some results about your product. And, if they are not, you will be redirected to another page, but not the real one.
Any easy pick is – genuine packing is little shinier than the fake one.
The second test is the case. The genuine RayBan case is slimmer in size, with absolute fine printing and stitching. You won’t see any such thing with the fake ones.
You will be able to feel the logo on the left side of the case. And, in the case of fake, you will be able to scratch the logo printing by your nails.
Try to feel the inner cloth (case cloth). You won’t feel any inconsistency and you’ll experience the smoothness. Whereas, in a fake case, this cloth is rough.
Next pick is – glass cleaning cloth. The cloth that comes with genuine packing is always in perfect square shape.
This cloth is made of a very fine fabric and you can feel it with your hands.
The logo embarked on the right bottom corner of the cloth feels like a part of the cloth. If you move your finger around it, you won’t feel anything.
Whereas, in case of a fake clean cloth, you can feel the logo printing, as if the logo is printed on the top of the cloth like embroidered.
Watch out for the RB initials. If they are of pure white color, they are real. Otherwise, you are holding a fake RayBan.
Look for “P” next to RayBan initials. This stands for Polarized.
Secondly, carefully look the logo for the ‘B’ of RayBan. In fake version, you will see an inconsistency in letter ‘B’. But, for this, you need to see the real RayBan Logo. You can check that on its official website.
In the case of real RayBan, printing on the temples is finely done. You won’t see any distortion or misalignment. You will see that complete product information (weight, model etc.) embarked on the temples is finely done in a clean, straight and readable manner.
Watch out for the nose-pads. Unlike duplicate RayBan, you won’t feel those nose-pads as if they are attached afterward. In real RayBan, they are perfectly curved and are inside the glass corners. In real RayBan, you can also see RB initials on the nose pads.
These are a few very easy picks. I hope these are going to help you and you won’t end up buying a fake RayBan.
Furthermore, I would like to suggest, if you are buying RayBan Aviator from an online store, always look for a vendor with excellent history and the real number of transactions.
Though, this is a personal opinion. You can always visit your nearest RayBan shop for the real and quality products.
