Stress is present in each of our lives. However, by raising the adrenaline levels can help in activating a state of increased physical and mental alertness.

Stress is nowadays a part everyone’s life. Be it of any level, it can seriously damage your life, health, and relationship. There are innumberable courses and stress management techniques already available. However, not many of us know that by increase the adrenaline at will, one can beat stress. Here are a few tricks to increase adrenaline and beat stress.

Climb the stairs more often

Of course, it is much easier to get on the elevator at the office or even at home. And I do not judge anyone habit. But experts believe that climbing the stairs you can increase the level of adrenaline in your body and can increase the alertness.

Choose a particular position

According to a research, it is concluded that there are certain postures that give instant backup when you are low. For example, standing up or down for a minute can lower cortisol levels at a rate of 25%.

And, if you have a business meeting in the office and you are really in a state of panic, try to put your feet on the desk and support your hands behind your head, on the back seat.

Breathe slowly, not deep

I have heard many people emphasizing on deep breathing when in stress. But, in reality, this is the most inappropriate method to tackle your stress.

The reason behind this is, if you exhale carbon dioxide too quickly, you may notice the onset of nausea because your body won’t be able to transmit a sufficient amount of oxygen to the brain.

Deep breathing exercises are perfect, but you need to control your exhale motion; exhale slowly and slowly. In other words, the most effective way to bring your blood pressure down is through slow breathing.

Try to inhale for four seconds, then exhale for six seconds, with pursed lips like blowing a candle.

Remove stress with proper diet

Do you know that foods with high content of vitamins and antioxidants give comfort and they actually can reduce stress? To keep stress levels to a minimum, try to choose foods that contain a significant amount of folic acid and zinc.

You can have these from foods like spinach and avocados. Also, you can bank upon blueberries and oranges; they can be your trusted partners.

If you want to increase your adrenaline, you can opt for cycling; a good option. A 15 to 20 minutes’ of cycling can get you a fair amount of adrenaline release.

Actually, when you cycle, the pressure of your lungs increase and as a result, you heart pump more blood to various body organs. As your body needs more glucose supply, this causes the release of adrenaline.

Scare yourself

Watch a scary movie. It seems weird, but this really works. When you are scared, you feel an urge of responding back.

This motion causes your body to release epinephrine, and eventually, an increased adrenaline.

Do something that you never did

Take risks and increase your adrenaline at your will. Do not get me wrong as I am not asking you to close your eyes while crossing a road or driving a car. All I am saying is – stepping out of your comfort zone.

Sing a song at a bar, buy a lottery ticket, go for rafting, try bungee jumping or dance with a stranger. The idea is – taking controlled risk.

In addition to these, you can increase your adrenaline by sipping coffee, strength training, trying computer games, or by engaging yourself in some form of physical activity.

Do keep in mind that any kind of stress is not good for life and you should do every possible thing you can do to avoid stress.

At the same time, do not try to increase your adrenaline many times a day because repetitions are not healthy. It is okay to cross your comfort zone for that particular time, but always keep a door open for coming back.
