Many people believe that emotions are triggered by environment. Whereas, many believe that no emotion can occur without our will. How to control our emotions, is still a mystery for many of us.

There might be countless definitions of emotions. But, to me, emotions are nothing, but a way of expressing our feelings. And, emotions are more likely a by-product of our past experience, both pleasant and unpleasant. So, saying that my emotions are not in my control, is completely a wrong theory. I believe, as we are behind our actions, so, by no means, we can be a slave to our emotions. On the other hand, we should be masters of them. Healthy mind & healthy body

You have been reading this quote since your childhood. But, this is no joke. If you really want to win your emotions, start with a healthy body.

Honestly, I know, you don’t want me to give you a lecture on the importance of ideal diet, rest and exercise. But, trust me, this is the easiest way to control your emotion.

Let us take an example of a walk. “If you are angry at something, go for a walk.” Now, what is the science behind this? Actually, an easy walk decreases and reduces neuronal activity in an area of the brain, which results in improvement in overall condition. And, finally, you feel better.

So, instead of heating up, if you choose to walk away, you won’t only save yourself from a predictable trouble, but you can protect yourself from all sorts of negative energies.

You must cultivate your emotional intelligence

Psychologists believe that every one of us is capable of cultivating own emotional intelligence. Do not let anyone rule your emotions.

If you are predictable, you are vulnerable, they say. If people around you know, what is going to be your reaction to something, they will be the master of your life.

So, if you really want don’t want them to treat like a puppet, cultivate your own emotional intelligence. You must learn the difference between flattery and praise. Improve your emotional intelligence by overpowering your feeling and by teaching your brain how not to show all cards at once.

Making mistakes is no problem, but you must learn from those. Do not run away from things, but experience them closely. If you have doubts, do what you can, to make them clear. Teach your brain to grow continuously because it will help your brain to adapt better and behave emotionally stable.

Train your emotions in a right way

If you want to learn how to control your emotions, you first need to learn, how to differentiate between emotions. Once you develop an ability to recognize and categorize your emotions for a certain thing, you will be in a position to control your emotions in an appropriate and constructive manner.

The idea that works behind this is – by practicing this daily, you will learn how to see things positively, and finally, you will learn how to neglect negative things are emotionally unstable for you.

You won’t believe, but your unhealthy emotions are not so good for your health. Do you know that emotional shock can give you a hair loss, anxiety is the primary reason behind chest pain, stress is directly associated with stress. Therefore, it is very important to learn how to control emotions.

It is not a question of your health, but your personality as well. Do not let people take advantage of your emotional dumbness.
