Ask anyone, and the answer is going to be the same. We all know what changes can make our life happier, but only a few of us know how to implement those.
Isn’t it funny that we all want to win, but none of us is ready for the preparations? We all know that by introducing a few changes, we can make our life happier. I am not suggesting you bring some radical changes in your lifestyle because there is no serious need for those. I am talking about small changes that you can even integrate into your life from tomorrow. I can bet you, try to bring these small changes and make your life happier.
1Work on your thoughts and make them positive
No doubts, we all are surrounded by negativity and negative people. Do anything you can, but you know that you cannot change the mentality of those negative souls. The best you can do is avoid those.
The moment you see someone opposing your ideas and you realize that he is opposing for no good reason, avoid him. You need to clean up your thought process. The whole idea is – get rid of all negative thoughts and surround yourself with positive people. Do not miss to take care of your body and your needs.
2Wake up a little earlier than your current time
Unlike others, I am not going to tell you about the importance of waking up early in the morning and feeling the sunshine. I guess you know that much. And, hopefully, you had already figured out that waking up early, but sad is not going to bring any happiness.
All I am saying is – wake up at least an hour before your current time. Do some exercises to get your muscles moving, have breakfast with family or plan your day. At least, this is going to save you from the run that you might be having every morning and wondering if you are missing something important? The logic is – timing plays a key role in personal development.
3Fix your bed immediately after waking up
This seems funny, but a very helpful tip. My dad used to tell me that people who make the bed immediately after waking up, tend to be happier and more successful. I never understood his logic. But, once I started with it, I realized; it really works.
Making your bed immediately after waking up give us a sense of control and self-realization. Moreover, it reduces the chance of going to bed again after waking up. After all, who wants to mess a bed after making it clean and tidy.
4No fun in making commitments that you cannot deliver
We all want to shine like a star. Be it out workplace or neighborhood. Quite an easy thing to understand that collecting a bunch of tasks is easy, but handling all those with equal care is not that easy.
The point is – why overloading oneself. Better do fewer things and do them rightly rather than being starting several things and then, wondering at which one to finish first. In the simplest terms, never make a commitment that you cannot deliver or you are not sure about deliverance.
5Bring some changes and surprise yourself
Are not you tired of your daily routine? One of the best things you can do for yourself is – breaking the monotony of your schedule. Get out of your comfort zone at least once a week and do something you’ve never done did before.
6Do not compare yourself with others
The biggest reason behind today’s unhappy world is – unhealthy comparisons. If you are comparing yourself to someone else, you are degrading yourself. Do not waste hours on thinking what others have and you do not. Stop comparing yourself with other. Each and every person is unique in his own way. Do keep in mind that not all fingers are the same and you can easily find someone better and someone worse than you.
7Work out your priorities
Try to step out of your comfort zone. You need to learn how to prioritize your time so that you have time for all. If you really want to avoid last minutes’ disappointments; work on your priorities and stick to those. Do things, when they should be done and not when you get time.
Finally, the golden rule – Make a habit of writing a journal. I am not asking you to write a diary, but write things you are grateful for and things you hate the most. This is going to help you in dealing with your frustrations.
