If you don’t want to spend money on buying and stocking unnecessary items, then you can exfoliate with the help of lemon and sugar. Simply take half a lemon and sprinkle sugar on it and gently massage your face with it. Do it at least once a day.

Antioxidant Rich Diet

In very simple words, antioxidants stop the cells in your body from getting damaged. If you want to stay and look healthy and young, make sure you include antioxidant rich food items in your diet.

For example, grapes – whether red, blue or purple; they all are loaded with antioxidants, Vitamin C and Selenium. All this is not only good for your skin but also helps build your immunity against diseases.

More examples of foods rich in antioxidants are blueberries, red berries, walnuts, green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, carrots, green tea, whole grains etc. There is no dearth of food that helps you maintain that glow on your skin. SO make sure you are eating this at least once every day.

Useless Makeup

Use of makeup products harms the skin a lot. When we say use less makeup, it does not mean you stop using it at all. Instead, we mean to say that if you use it every day, reduce it to every other day at least.

When you put layers of makeup on your face, it stops your skin from getting the oxygen it needs. The result of this is you get a skin which is prone to acne and other scars. So try and avoid using makeup very often.

Slow Down on Sugar

It has been proven by research that the more sugar you intake, the duller your skin will start to look. The reason behind this is that sugar increased the blood sugar level which damages the elasticity of your skin. This leaves your skin looking dull and loose.

Sugar does not only mean granulated sugar that we all have at our homes. Slowing down on sugar means you will have to seriously cut down on your intake of sodas, cakes, candies etc.

All these items have more sugar in them than we can even imagine. So limit your intake of sugar and see a drastic change in both your health and your skin.

Limit Your Salt Intake

Salt and sugar are our biggest enemies. About 2600mg of salt is required by the body of a healthy adult for essential nerve and muscle function. But too much of salt in your diet can take away all the moisture from your skin making it look and feel dry and dull.

No matter the amount of water you drink, it will not replenish your skin unless and until you limit your salt intake. It not only causes damage to the skin but high amounts of salt also leads to various problems like bone-thinning, asthma, weight gain etc.
